VOCE's mission is to celebrate choral excellence in our community and foster human connection through diverse and unique programming.
Our Story
VOCE began in 2006 under the direction of Dr. Charles Goehring at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Charles Manning became the accompanist in 2007. Following Dr. Goehring's retirement, Eric Wickens and Brenda Iacocca took over the groups management, created a Board of Directors and successfully recruited Dr. Madlen Batchvarova as Artistic Director. Following Eric Wickens unfortunate passing, Brenda and the Board continued to help VOCE regroup and recruit Robert Bolyard in 2017 as Artistic Director. We have continued to explore new programming, music genres and organizational operations. VOCE will celebrate it's 20th Anniversary in 2026.
